2025 Fantasy Outlook
MacIntyre earned his PGA Tour card for 2024 with his strong play on the DP World Tour in 2023. It was quite a struggle out of the gate for the Scot, but he started to really turn it around in late spring when he finished top-15 in three of four starts, including a T8 at the PGA Championship, before earning his first PGA Tour victory at the RBC Canadian Open. Just four starts later MacIntyre had one of the highlights of the year winning the Genesis Scottish Open by rolling in a lengthy putt on the 72nd hole becoming the first Scot to win his national open in 25 years. There's no doubt that MacIntyre has the distance and short game to find success on the PGA Tour for years to come. The question is if he can find more control approaching the greens. Not many of the earnings leaders on the PGA Tour rank outside the top-100 in SG: Approach as MacIntyre did in 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Ties for 20th in Ohio
June 2, 2025
MacIntyre finished his final round of the Memorial Tournament with an even par 72 to tie for 20th.
ANALYSIS
MacIntyre put together a solid showing this week at a golf course that was playing very difficult. His solid performance was supported by his strong iron play where he ranked 16th this week in SG: Approach, gaining over three shots on the field. MacIntyre also avoided the mistakes off the tee that can usually hurt you at Muirfield Village Golf Club, which allowed him to gain over two shots on the field in SG: Off the Tee. This good result now strings two good performance together where MacIntyre has finished in the top-20. He will head next to Canada for the RBC Canadian Open, where he will look to defend his championship from last year.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2022
MacIntyre would have been a winner on the PGA Tour if not for a truly heroic finish by Rory McIlroy at the Scottish Open. Nevertheless, that showing in his national open went a long way to notching a spot on the Ryder Cup team and securing a PGA Tour card for 2024. Ball-striking has never really been the strength of MacIntyre's game, but he turned that around last season where he ranked 13th in SG: Tee-to-Green on the DPWT. Combine that with his natural ability on the greens and MacIntyre could certainly make a little noise in 2024. He has already notched a trio of top-12 finishes in majors at age 27.
The Scotsman has been ranked in the top 50 in the world during 2021 and was trying to secure his PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry playoffs. Even in the unlikely scenario that MacIntyre fails to qualify that way, his world ranking, and name recognition, would get him into many PGA Tour events, plus majors and WGCs.
