Weisshaupt is heading back to his parent club Freiburg after the end of his loan spell with St. Pauli, the club announced.

Jung has joined Freiburg on a permanent transfer, joining for Werder Bremen, his new club announced. "Tony fills the void left by Manuel Gulde after his retirement. He played a large part of Werder's games last season and brings a wealth of experience. Tony is an excellent tackler and, thanks to his left foot, can be deployed in various positions in several systems. He will be a valuable asset for us, given the upcoming demands in several competitions," said board member Jochen Saier.

Scherhant has signed a contract with Freiburg, joining from Hertha BSC, his new club announced. "During our discussions, we got to know Derry as an open and realistic young person, and together we have a great desire to realize his full potential. Derry is physically strong, has good speed and a drive to score. He also demonstrates good poise on the pitch. Despite his somewhat atypical path to professional football, he has retained a refreshing freshness and carefree attitude," said Sporting Director Klemens Hartenbach.

Hofler made 20 appearances (seven starts) in the Bundesliga.

Beste made 12 appearances and no starts during his return to the Bundesliga with Freiburg.

Lienhart made 32 appearances (31 starts) in the Bundesliga, keeping 10 clean sheets.

Sildillia made 21 appearances (eight starts) during the Bundesliga, scoring twice.

Gregoritsch made just five starts and scored twice during the Bundesliga.

Osterhage scored once during 30 appearances (27 starts) in the Bundesliga.

Kubler finished with no starts in the final four Bundesliga matches.
