Lasts 99 seconds in Vegas

Holobaugh lost to Jordan Leavitt via technical submission (anaconda choke) at 1:39 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Holobaugh looked pretty good despite suffering a unanimous decision loss to Alexander Hernandez in March. He was back in the Octagon here following what was a very short turnaround and wasn't the least bit competitive. He gave up three takedowns and 1:27 worth of control time in a bout which lasted well under two minutes. He elected to go to sleep as opposed to tapping out. Set to turn 39 years of age this coming September, Kurt has lost three of four, and his third stint with the company could be coming to an end in the near future.

New fighter steps in
LightweightUFC
April 29, 2025
Holobaugh is set to face Jordan Leavitt in a lightweight fight during UFC Vegas 107 on May 31, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Holobaugh is looking to bounce back from a tough loss against Alexander Hernandez after losing by unanimous decision during UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas. Kurt has provided mixed results over his last four fights, alternating between win and losses but will look to get back on the win column by defeating Jordan Leavitt, who is coming off a loss back in November.
Gets no help from judges in defeat
LightweightUFC
March 15, 2025
Holobaugh lost to Alexander Hernandez via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
The fact not one judge scored this fight for Holobaugh is remarkable, with the one 30-27 score in favor of Hernandez being downright indefensible. It was a close, competitive bout throughout, but there's most certainly a case to be made that Holobaugh, as a +160 underdog, did enough to win each of the first two rounds. He was the more active and effective striker throughout before being planted to the mat by Hernandez nearly the entirety of Round 3. Kurt is nothing more than roster depth at age 38, but that doesn't make the decision any easier to swallow. Holobaugh has alternated wins and losses in four fights since starting his third stint with the company back in August 2023.
Slated to face Hernandez
LightweightUFC
January 9, 2025
Holobaugh will face Alexander Hernandez at UFC Vegas 104 on March 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Holobaugh defeated Kaynan Kruschewsky via unanimous decision in his most recent bout in July last year. That victory means he's won four of his previous five fights across all promotions. However, the 38-year-old veteran hasn't been successful at the UFC level, where he owns a less impressive 2-5 record, although both wins have come in the last three events in which he's featured.
Gets right back in win column
LightweightUFC
July 20, 2024
Holobaugh defeated Kaynan Kruschewsky via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Holobaugh lost his last time out against Trey Ogden in March because he couldn't defend a takedown. He wasn't all that much better in that department in this one, allowing Kruschwesky to land all three of his attempts, but Holobaugh did enough good work on the feet over the course of the first ten minutes to bank each of the first two rounds in the eyes of the judges. Set to turn 38 years of age in September, Holobaugh is in the midst of his third stint with the company. He's just 2-5 with the UFC, but this most recent stretch has been by far his best. He's one two of three since returning in August 2023.
Next fight scheduled
LightweightUFC
May 1, 2024
Holobaugh will take on Kaynan Kruschewsky in a lightweight bout at a UFC event on July 20 in Las Vegas, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Holobaugh will look to right the ship in the UFC, as he's just 1-5 in the promotion and is coming off a loss to Trey Ogden via unanimous decision in March. His tilt with Kruschewsky is scheduled for almost exactly a year following his first and only win in the UFC, a Round 2 victory over Austin Hubbard. His opponent Kruschewsky is 0-1 in the UFC and will also be looking for a cathartic win.
