Delgado defeated Connor Matthews via KO (punches) at 2:58 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Delgado was given a layup in his official UFC debut, and to his credit, he took full advantage. Entering as a -550 favorite, Jose gave up a pair of early takedowns before quickly working his way back to his feet. He connected with a beautiful spinning back fist before dropping Matthews with a massive right hand. A few follow-up shots later, and this one was over. A massive featherweight at 5-foot-11, Delgado, who gets elite training everyday at the MMA Lab in Arizona, looks like a quality prospect to keep an eye on moving forward.

Delgado defeated Ernie Juarez via KO (knee and punches) at 1:25 of Round 2 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of four fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
Delgado came out with a clean first round that saw him not only double the striking numbers of his opponent, but record three takedowns (although he was never able to maintain control for long). The two traded blows in Round 2 before Delgado found a home for his knee that led to the fight-ending sequence. A few hammerfists, and Juarez was out. Delgado, who most recently competed under the banner of LFA, will carry a 8-1-0 record into the UFC's featherweight division.
