Finds another submission win
Bonfim defeated Khaos Williams via technical submission (brabo choke) at 4:58 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Originally scheduled to face Rinat Fakhretdinov in this spot, Bonfim handled his opponent change masterfully. Knowing full well the power of Williams, the Brazilian fired off five takedown attempts, landing four of them. He was credited with just 1:42 worth of control time, but the constant threat of grappling assisted Bonfim throughout the fight. He finally found the submission with just two seconds left in Round 2, and it would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. The 27-year-old is now 4-1 in the UFC, with three of the four wins coming via submission. The lone defeat was a knockout against Nicolas Dalby back in November 2023.

Fighting Khaos in place of Rinat
Bonfim is no longer fighting Rinat Fakhretdinov and will now fight Khaos Williams at UFC Vegas 102 on Feb. 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
With Fakhretdinov pulled from the fight for undisclosed reasons, Bonfim has found a new contender in Khaos Williams. Williams has not fought since May where he defeated Carlston Harris via KO in Round , whereas Bonfim is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ange Loosa in July. Williams has a four-inch reach advantage over Bonfim, so it will be another difficult test for the Brazilian.

Booked for UFC Vegas 102
Bonfim will fight Rinat Fakhretdinov at UFC Vegas 102 on Feb. 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Bonfim got back in the win column with a win over Ange Loosa in July, improving to 3-1 in the UFC. He'll now take on his toughest challenge yet in Fakhretdinov, who holds a 1.5-inch reach advantage over Bonfim and hasn't lost a fight (5-0-1) since joining the UFC.

Gets right back in win column
Bonfim defeated Ange Loosa via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Denver.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off a knockout loss to Nicolas Dalby as a -600 favorite in November, Bonfim, aided by a tiring Loosa, was able to turn things around. Gabriel gave up three takedowns in the opening frame, but to his credit, worked his way back to his feet quickly. An exhausted Loosa was unable to get Bonfim to the mat the rest of the fight, and that allowed Gabriel to unload power shots, the vast majority of which found their mark. Bonfim is far from a perfect fighter, but he won't turn 27 years of age until late-August, and he's 3-1 in the UFC in addition to a victory on Dana White's Contender Series. He's in pretty good shape at the moment.

Scheduled to fight Ange Loosa
Bonfim will fight Ange Loosa at UFC Denver on Jul. 13, via Dana White.
ANALYSIS
Bonfim will aim to bounce back after his first UFC loss to Nicolas Dalby via TKO back in November of 2023. The Brazilian welterweight (2-1) will fight the 31-year-old Loosa, both looking for their first victory in the 2024 year.
