Bonfim defeated Khaos Williams via technical submission (brabo choke) at 4:58 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Originally scheduled to face Rinat Fakhretdinov in this spot, Bonfim handled his opponent change masterfully. Knowing full well the power of Williams, the Brazilian fired off five takedown attempts, landing four of them. He was credited with just 1:42 worth of control time, but the constant threat of grappling assisted Bonfim throughout the fight. He finally found the submission with just two seconds left in Round 2, and it would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. The 27-year-old is now 4-1 in the UFC, with three of the four wins coming via submission. The lone defeat was a knockout against Nicolas Dalby back in November 2023.

Fighting Khaos in place of Rinat
Bonfim is no longer fighting Rinat Fakhretdinov and will now fight Khaos Williams at UFC Vegas 102 on Feb. 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
