Rousek spent most of the 2023-24 campaign with AHL Rochester, where he potted 10 goals and added 31 helpers in 51 games. He struggled at the NHL level when called upon, as he was unable to find the back of the net in 15 appearances, though he did manage a pair of assists. It's tough at this time seeing Rousek in any more than a depth role for the Sabres - barring a slew of injuries - and it appears that the native of Czechia should see plenty of time in the minors in 2024-25. Rousek signed a two-year contract with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League on Tuesday, per the club's press release.

ANALYSIS
Rousek suited up in 17 games for the Sabres, with his last appearance with the team coming in 2023-24. This past season, the left-shot winger produced seven goals, 42 points and a plus-1 rating over 72 regular-season outings for AHL Rochester before adding two goals and eight points across seven playoff outings.
