2025 Fantasy Outlook
Though he was denied an Opening Day roster spot, Faucher was recalled early in the 2024 campaign and established himself as one of Miami's more reliable relief pitchers. The 29-year-old quickly established himself in leverage situations and was elevated to Miami's closer role after the team traded its star relievers. Faucher recorded six of Miami's seven saves after the trade deadline and appeared poised to finish the year as the Marlins' closer before suffering a right shoulder impingement in September. While this ended his season prematurely, the right-hander posted a solid 3.19 ERA over 53.2 innings and did not allow a home run all year. Faucher's 11.1 percent walk rate leaves a lot to be desired, but health permitting, he's the current favorite to open 2025 as the Marlins closer. Whether he can maintain that role is to be determined, as Andrew Nardi, Jesus Tinoco, or a free-agent could take the the job fairly easily. Read Past Outlooks

Secures fourth save
Faucher picked up a save against the Giants on Saturday, allowing one hit in a scoreless inning of work.
ANALYSIS
Faucher was tasked with protecting a one-run lead in the ninth frame, and he was able to work around a two-out single to get the job done. The right-hander is now tied for the team lead with Jesus Tinoco with four saves on the campaign. Tinoco hasn't logged a save since mid-May, but Ronny Henriquez has pitched well and recorded a save May 25 against the Angels. However, Henriquez entered in the sixth inning Saturday with two on and two out in a 1-0 game. The team's bullpen hierarchy remains highly unpredictable, but Henriquez appears to be manager Clayton McCullough's top choice for a high-leverage fireman role, while Faucher -- who has the Marlins' last two saves -- might be settling into a more traditional ninth-inning assignment.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Faucher's spring debut was delayed over three weeks after he reported to camp with the oblique injury, but he displayed a mid-90s fastball and sharp mid-80s slider during the spring. Though he wasn't overly impressive in his first season in the majors in 2022, Faucher nonetheless has a chance to break camp with Tampa Bay in a low-leverage relief role. He has some upside given his strong minor league strikeout rates.
